Can you run apps like Uber, WhatsApp in GrapheneOS?

https://grapheneos.org is a privacy focused OS based on Android. It removes any trace of Google and other tracking software from the stock Android image.
I'm wondering if common apps like WhatsApp, Uber, and others, which I think require Google Play Services, can be used in that OS.

<p>Answering my own question. All of those apps work fine in GrapheneOS if you install the sandboxed Google Play App, which is included in the GrapheneOS "app store".</p><p><br></p><p>Also, you don't need to root the phone to run GrapheneOS.</p>
